ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Spirenet Telecom – ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Effective Date: January 15, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to Customer's use of the Services offered by Spirenet Telecom LLC or any of its Affiliates. "Services" means the products and services that are ordered by Customer using the Spirenet Telecom LLC account, or provided by Spirenet Telecom LLC to Customer on a trial basis or otherwise free of charge. Spirenet Telecom LLC Services generally consist of connectivity services that link the Spirenet Telecom LLC Services to the telecommunication providers' networks via the Internet.

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all services provided by Spirenet Telecom LLC, including voice, SIP trunking, DID services, messaging, and any trial or complimentary services.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their employees, clients, contractors, and end users comply with this policy.

2. Prohibited Uses

Customers may not use our services for any activity that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful.
Examples include:

  • Illegal or fraudulent activities

  • Spam or unsolicited communications

  • Harassment or abusive messaging

  • Transmission of malware, viruses, spyware, or malicious software

  • Identity theft or impersonation

  • Intellectual property infringement

  • Hate speech or discriminatory content

  • Distribution of obscene or illegal material

  • Activities that interfere with the operation of our network or other customers' services

3. Network Security

Customers must not:

  • Attempt to bypass security controls

  • Reverse engineer our systems

  • Exploit vulnerabilities

  • Launch denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks

  • Perform unauthorized scanning or penetration testing

  • Engage in activities that may disrupt service availability

4. Messaging & Calling Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all voice calls and messages comply with applicable telecommunications laws.

Prohibited activities include:

  • Robocalling without legal authorization

  • Calling or texting without consent

  • Excessive repetitive calling

  • Caller ID spoofing

  • Use of misleading caller identification

  • Sending unsolicited SMS or MMS messages

  • Telemarketing that violates applicable regulations

5. Caller ID Policy

Customers may only use telephone numbers they are legally authorized to use.

Customers must not:

  • Spoof caller IDs

  • Display false or misleading caller information

  • Impersonate government agencies, banks, emergency services, or trusted organizations

  • Use caller IDs that cannot receive return calls

6. Do Not Call & Do Not Originate Compliance

Customers must comply with:

  • National Do Not Call (DNC) regulations

  • Do Not Originate (DNO) lists

  • Applicable telemarketing laws

  • Customer opt-out requests

Customers must immediately stop using any number placed on a Do Not Originate registry.

7. Numbering Compliance

Customers must use only valid telephone numbers.

The following are prohibited:

  • Invalid or unassigned numbers

  • Incorrectly formatted telephone numbers

  • Test number ranges

  • Unallocated numbering resources

  • Numbers that violate international numbering standards

8. Voice Provider Responsibilities

Customers operating as voice providers, carriers, or VoIP providers must:

  • Maintain required regulatory registrations

  • Keep compliance certifications current

  • Maintain robocall mitigation programs

  • Monitor upstream providers for compliance

  • Notify Spirenet Telecom LLC of any compliance changes

9. STIR/SHAKEN Compliance

Where applicable, customers must:

  • Apply the correct attestation level

  • Preserve authentication information

  • Avoid falsifying authentication signatures

  • Comply with caller authentication regulations

10. Traceback Cooperation

Customers agree to cooperate with lawful traceback investigations.

This includes:

  • Responding promptly to traceback requests

  • Providing accurate call detail records when legally required

  • Identifying the originating customer or traffic source

  • Taking corrective action when illegal traffic is discovered

Failure to cooperate may result in immediate suspension or termination of services.

11. Record Retention

Customers should maintain appropriate records including:

  • Call Detail Records (CDRs)

  • Customer agreements

  • Complaint records

  • Compliance documentation

  • Traceback correspondence

Records should be retained for the periods required by applicable laws and regulations.

12. Reseller Responsibilities

Customers who resell services must:

  • Require their customers to comply with similar acceptable use requirements

  • Verify customer identity before activating service

  • Suspend customers engaged in illegal activity

  • Cooperate with investigations

Resellers remain responsible for traffic originating from their customers.

13. Sensitive Information

Spirenet Telecom LLC services are not intended for transmitting or storing sensitive personal information unless customers implement appropriate safeguards.

Customers are solely responsible for protecting any sensitive data transmitted using our services.

14. Enforcement

Violation of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions:

  • Warning notice

  • Temporary suspension

  • Immediate service termination

  • Blocking of affected telephone numbers

  • Reporting to regulatory authorities

  • Legal action where appropriate

Spirenet Telecom LLC reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory agencies.

15. Limitation of Liability

Spirenet Telecom LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from enforcement of this Acceptable Use Policy or from suspension or termination of services resulting from policy violations.

16. Policy Updates

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in applicable laws

  • Regulatory requirements

  • Carrier requirements

  • Industry best practices

  • Service enhancements

Updated policies become effective on the published effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
